I’m Karina, a registered Tax Agent and small business consultant who’s here to make tax time feel a whole lot less stressful and a lot more strategic.
I am originally from Brazil, migrated to Australia in 2001 and have been immersed in the business management and bookkeeping sector since 2005. My educational journey culminated in a Bachelor degree of Business, majoring in Accounting from Southern Cross University in 2014. Although my foray into the world of accountancy began in 2013. I have also became a Xero Certified Advisor in 2022.
With years of experience supporting individuals, sole traders, and small business owners, I offer tailored services in tax returns, tax planning, bookkeeping, BAS & GST compliance, business consulting, and Xero training.
Whether you’re navigating startup basics or tackling complex business structures, I’ll help you make confident decisions backed by solid numbers and straight answers.
My approach is simple:
✅ No jargon.
✅ No one-size-fits-all solutions.
✅ Just clear, personalised advice that works for your business.
As a sole trader myself, I understand the pressure of wearing all the hats, and I’m here to take the financial one off your hands. I keep up with the latest ATO rulings, tax changes, and compliance obligations, so you don’t have to.
Karina founded BAS & Books for You (BB4u) in June 2022 due to her passion for empowering small businesses. As the principal of her firm, Karina is a registered Tax Agent & Business Consultant specialising in small businesses (Tax Agent #26261566). She is also a recognised Xero Partner and Certified Advisor.
So if you’re looking for someone who’s both detail-driven and down-to-earth, someone who’ll answer your questions, keep you compliant, and support your business goals, you’re in the right place.
Let’s make tax and bookkeeping feel manageable (and maybe even a little empowering).
Generally, only registered Tax and BAS agents can charge or receive a fee or other reward for providing tax agent, BAS or tax (financial) advice services.
You are taking big risks if you use an unregistered preparer to:
prepare and lodge your tax returns and statements
provide you with tax advice
represent you in your dealings with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO)
You can find out if your BAS or Tax Agent is registered, check about these risks or to make a complaint about the service you received on this link below:
